3…2…1…Graduate!

CountdowntoGradIt’s that time again: Countdown to Graduation!

Not familiar with CTG? Countdown to Graduation is a quarter-long celebration that aims to provide educational workshops and entertainment opportunities to students before they graduate from DePaul. Departments from across the university collaborate and sponsor events specifically designed for graduating students, including Law, Graduate, and Undergraduate students.

There are many great events planned for this year’s graduates! For only $5, tickets are available for Broadway in Chicago’s American Idiot on April 18 and the Chicago Cubs game versus the New York Mets on May 17. Other events include: Victory Lap at the Ray on May 22, FEST & After Hours on May 24, Class of 2013 Reception on June 14, Financial Fitness workshops, resume critiques at the Career Center, take the Pledge of Social Responsibility at the Student Leadership Institute, and attend the Just in Time Job Fair!

Seniors, don’t forget about the Legacy Gift! Last year, the Class of 2012 left their legacy with more than 1,400 gifts raising over $17,500 for student scholarships. The Legacy is not focused on the amount of money, but rather the amount of people who give. This year’s goal is to have 2,013 students donate. By making a gift of any size, you not only demonstrate your commitment to DePaul University and its mission of giving back, but you will also receive a legacy cord at cap and gown pickup in June. Wear your cord at commencement to show your support for the Class of 2013 Legacy Gift.
